What They Said Wednesday–Pres. Monson

I really enjoy Pres. Monson’s opening remarks.  They always seem to be a tone setter for the reason why the Lord has commanded us to have conference.

Talk: President Thomas S. Monson - President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

As We Gather Once Again
  • Meet to strengthen one another, to comfort, to build faith, to learn. Some are seeking answers to prayers.
  • Should there be changes that need to be made in your life, may you have the courage to make them.
  • Our presence is now felt throughout the world.
  • No cause, no force in the entire world can stop the cause of God. “No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing. Persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame. But the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, until the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the Great Jehovah will say, ‘The work is done.'” - Joseph Smith (History of the Church, 4:540)
